About Robin

Robin Brande is a novelist and former trial attorney. Her young adult novel Evolution, Me, and Other Freaks of Nature was published by Knopf/Random House in August, 2007.

A true believer in multi-tasking, she is or has been various combinations of the following: lawyer, yoga instructor, entrepreneur, community college instructor, Wilderness First Responder, insurance agent, outdoor adventurer, Girl Scout leader, and Sunday school teacher.

She made her Broadway debut last year in the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This is not a joke. She was one of the spelling bee contestants, knocked out by kumiss: a fermented beverage made originally by the nomadic peoples of central Asia from mare’s milk. Right. Like anyone would know that.

Robin lives in the impossibly hot Southwest with her husband and dogs.
