July chocolate winners!!!

I don’t know what’s going on, but I had MANY more chocolate entries than ever before this time. Are you all just hot and deprived and chocolate-needy? Seemed like it from reading your essays.

I’m always sorry I can’t solve more of the world’s chocolate problems. It’s why I’ve gradually increased this drawing from two winners to three and now four. I’m sorry for all of you who didn’t win this month, and all I can say is enter next month give yourself another chance.

So without further delay, the winner’s of this month’s drawing are:

SUSAN M!

BETH A!

KARI B!

KELLY L!

Congratulations! Your chocolate is on its way!

I knew I wasn’t going to win! I never win anything!

I’ll enter again… and again and again and again! That chocolate will be mine!

Katie, good attitude, but let’s have none of that “I never win” mallarky (sp?). Your film just won Best of L.A. in the 48 Hour Film Project, which I think might be just a little better than chocolate.

But please do try for the chocolate again next month. I think you’re on a roll!

  3. Patrick Says:

Thought you were giving something summer shippable(even though my chocolate had arrived with no problem in icepacks when I won.)

Did you think to check your stats to see where that “chocolate” traffic is coming from? AWStats will give a pretty good indication in the referrers to a page. I bet you were either blogged or linked from somewhere high traffic and directly to that page.

And I know I’m gonna get beat up by all the chocolate lovers (hell, I wanna beat MYSELF up for even suggesting it!) but it might serve your purposes a little better to revamp the contest as a “free books!” contest rather than a “free chocolate!” contest. At least then you’ll attract people who actually read. Or you can do both and have one chocolate winner and three book winners. Or something.

Another question. If those essays are so much fun, why aren’t you letting us get a glimpse of them? It also might whittle down the field just a tiny bit.

  6. robin Says:

BJ, no chocolate? BLASPHEMY!! But thank you for the suggestion anyway.

Patrick, I searched high and low until I found shippable chocolate. Because it’s THAT important.

We so enjoyed our fine win! Ah, the chocolate was so divine but better still, I called it poetry chocolate and that made it even better!
Thanks from our happy chocolate lover household :)
