The things I do for you

I got home from Oregon late, late last night, and what should I find waiting for me? A huge box of chocolates, just like the kind I’ll send you if you win my Monthly Free Chocolate Drawing.

I decided to send it to myself to make sure it’s of the quality I think you deserve. I can now report, having stayed up until midnight sampling the chocolate JUST FOR YOU, that it is definitely something you want.

So let’s go over this again. The contest is easy. You fill in your name and address so I know where to send the gift if you win. At the bottom of the form you write me some cute or true thing about why you need chocolate. It might be that some mean boy spit in your hair on your 11th birthday (happened to me) and you still need the comfort of chocolate to get over that. Maybe you just love and need chocolate, simple as that. Or you think it would really make your month to get a surprise gift of chocolate in the mail. Look how much we have in common.

The drawing is completely random. I put the names in a hat, close my eyes, and choose. So why have an essay portion at all? Because it makes me happy to see what you guys say. Can’t I have a little fun, too?

So take a moment, fill out the form, tell me why you need or deserve some chocolate. I look forward to adding your justifications to my own.
