I have to contend with the dog and my 4 year old while exercising. Which is why I normally don’t exercise. And my dog doesn’t lick, he just knocks me over.

Sara, I have the same problem doing yoga in front of Bear. He waits until I’m in a backbend or some other completely vulnerable pose, then swipes his big tongue all over my face–especially likes getting me in the eyes.

Yoga is SO relaxing.

I think it’s doggie instinct. My dog always comes over to investigate if I lie on the floor. She thinks something must be wrong. (And she totally doesn’t get yoga, not even downward facing dog.)

Then there’s my daughter, who used to lie down on the floor every day when she got home from school (7th grade) and giggle while the dog licked her all over her face. (Eew. I’m all for doggie licks, but I prefer my toes.) Unless I’m choking on an apple, of course.

I have a dog named Toby and I would hope he would do this for me, but I’m not entirely sure of his motive if he did-it would cross my mind that he was just trying to get that apple piece. I’d like to know what happened to that apple piece in the news story.
