Thank you, Alkelda! You’re right–too many BFFs to abandon you totally. I’m just going to drop back to two days a week for a while until I finish all my work.

Lady T, what a decadent night–staying up until 2 AM? Crimeny (sp?)!

Mary Lee, all hail the vacation from school–for everyone. The fall is so nice with all these built-in breaks. And a four-day weekend–too marvelous.

Jules, same to you! Don’t worry about late–Thanksgiving is a four-day event.

Kelley, how entirely generous of your in-laws to come to you–with the food! It’s so thoughtful not to make you travel with the little ones. What a nice day it sounds like you had!

Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a nice quiet meal at home(decided to just have a turkey breast this year,since we all love white meat and it turned out great)and stayed up til 2 in the morning,watching Deal or No Deal.

I am thankful for the much-needed pause in the stampede of school that Thanksgiving weekend gives.

I am thankful for blogging friends I have and haven’t met (and for you, Robin, who made it possible to meet some of those bloggers!), and for time to get caught up reading blogs.

Like Adrienne our focus is on games as much as food. Most times it is dominoes, but this year we played Sequence.

The number of things I’m thankful for are overwhelming and take my breath away. And yes, you and all my new blog friends are included on that list.

Yesterday, my in-laws drove two hours to our house loaded with a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal so we didn’t have to travel with two little ones. We ate and ate and ate and heaved a great big sigh together. Then we spent time outside watching the kids play in the gorgeous fall leaves blanketing the ground. It was a very blessed day.

Ah, yes, we are thankful for you too, Robin.

Here, we eat a lot, but what we REALLY focus on are the games. This year, it was Twister, my friend’s Wii, and a 1000 piece puzzle. Everyone’s gone, the house is mostly in order, and I am that really happy kind of exhausted. Hope it’s the same there.
