Item #5
You may recall from this list a few days ago (and by the way, I greatly enjoyed your lists–what fun) that Item #5 was “Go play in the outdoors at least once a month.”
So, since I wrote it down, now I feel committed. Which is why I’m heading into the wilderness in about an hour to do a weekend backpack with the husband, our Lab, and the Lab next door whom we’re borrowing because these are definitely going to be some two-dog nights–highs around 60, lows around 30–brrrrrr. But at least the days will be sunny, and that’s all I ask.
The neighbor Lab is a bit of a (how shall I put this?) nervous pee-er, but we’re hoping to make a man dog of him this weekend so he’ll cut that right out. Nothing worse than being a big strapping dog and peeing all over yourself at the least sign of excitement. Come on. Show some pride.
Hope you enjoy your weekend, too–especially if you have relatives arriving next week who will expect you to be charming and relaxed (ha!) and to serve them a feast that will make them weep over its extravagence. Aren’t holidays just THE BEST??!!
