An excellent argument for blondes

Personally, I usually go for this. Or this. And certainly this (do I own the life-size stand up cutout? You decide).

But I am Persuaded.

Thank you, PBS, for giving us The Men of Austen. That ought to occupy us all quite nicely for the next several Sundays.

    Yeah,that Men of Austen section is one of the best parts of the CJA website! Too bad they couldn’t sneak Alan Rickman or Ciaran Hinds in that mix.

    Lady T, yes to Alan Rickman for sure. Not so into Ciaran, but you’re right: that Men of Austen site needs to give us all of them!

    Lady T, it’s been bothering me all day: why was I so mean to Ciaran Hinds? What could I possibly have against such a nice Austen man? Sorry–I take it back.

    No need to be sorry,Robin. It’s perfectly understandable that some of the Austen gents may not be your cup of tea. I wasn’t much taken with the fellow who plays Captain Wentworth in the new version of Persuasion(but I do have hopes for our new Henry Tilney this Sunday!).

    I hope that last bit didn’t sound snarky(see,this is what happens when you read Emma too much-your words get in the way!). RP-J is a nice looking man and very worthy of admiration,but he just doesn’t suit me,I’m afraid.

    Atleast we agree on Alan Rickman…*swoon*..when he’s around,the air is filled with spices:)
