Another Lost theory

This one from my friend Peter. Did you notice how when the Others first brought Walt in to see his father, Walt seemed fairly calm? Then a little while later he exchanged a look with Ms. Clue, and suddenly Walt started thrashing around, shouting, “They’re not who they say they are! They’re pretending!”

Peter thinks Walt is the one who’s pretending. What if he’s converted to the Others? Remember when Ms. Clue gave Michael his instructions about freeing Henry and bringing back the four people on her list? Michael said, “What will I tell them?” Ms. Clue said something like, “It doesn’t matter. People will do anything when they’re angry.”

What if that’s what Walt’s mission was? He was supposed to make Michael angry enough that Michael would do anything to free him.

So is Walt with us or against us now?

  1. Barry says:

Yeah, I noticed Walt’s behavior, too. I think something fishy was going on there — maybe the same thing that happened to Michael. “Help us or we’ll kill your son.” Meanwhile, they tell Walt, “Help us or we’ll kill your dad.”

Interesting how Malcom Kelly doesn’t look much older. One theory about his disappearance on the show was that he’d hit puberty and thus aged too much to appear to still be on the island after only 50 days. Makes me wonder when those scenes were shot.
