Important gift information for Losties
Jules over at Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast had to tempt me with these yesterday:
Jack.
And even though I’ve always been in love with Jack alone, I have to admit Sawyer’s action figure is hotter.
They also have Eko, Hurley, and the various womenfolk, but really it’s all about Jack and Sawyer.
Lost returns January 21. Why must we wait???

I’m a major Sawyer fan. That is AWESOME!!! And I collect action figures too, but I can’t see me (or anyone I love) paying $40-plus for one. Why is his so much more expensive than Jack’s, anyway??? Can’t wait for January. It’s been much too long, and I’ll definitely need a recap.

Kelley, send the link to Katie Sis. She’ll be in a good mood (see, Murray), so maybe she’ll surprise you!

My sister loves that show. I have to say that i thought it was boring and confusing, but thats just my own opinion.

and robin, your right, sawyer’s is much hotter

Carli, you’re totally missing out! Lost has some of the best writing EVER! You need to immerse yourself in some of the past season DVDs, then you won’t be so confused (or at least no more confused than the rest of us).

Yes, Carli. “No more confused than the rest of us.” That’s Lost in a nutshell. I don’t understand half of what’s been going on, but it’s so dang entertaining and suspenseful and exciting!
And Robin, Katie Sis loves me and all, but she’s broke. Good mood or not, I’m betting she won’t be able to cough up $40 for a toy. Am I right, Katie? (:

I never watched the show originally, and then I always felt I’d never be able to catch up. But then SciFi started running the episodes in HD from the beginning — four back-to-back episodes every Monday — and I’ve been watching obsessively ever since.
Of course, they’re only partway through season two right now, and I don’t think they’ll get through season four before January’s premiere. I suppose I could just keep the new episodes on the DVR until I get through them… or see if Santa brings seasons three and four on Blu-Ray…

(Oh, and one of my coworkers has the Locke action figure on his desk. I never knew exactly who it was until I started watching. After seeing the hatch-discovery episode, I went, “Aaaaahhh, I get it now.”)

Kelley, maybe Murray? To impress you?
Bill, so glad you’ve joined the group! I know someone else who’s been watching those SciFi channel reruns–addictive! And now that you’ve been watching, which action figure would you get?
November 21st, 2008 at 5:27 am
Nope. Murray’s equally broke. I’ll have to tell Katie Sis to get on here and speak for herself. (;

Which action figure…? (I suppose I’d get in trouble if I said Shannon or Sun, now, wouldn’t I?)
First season I’d probably have said Locke, just because I thought he was the most fascinating character (possibly apart from Sayid) in terms of past baggage. With season 2, Mr. Eko might be taking over there, just because I love the way he’s made such a radical transformation (or has he?) from his past identity. Spiritual and frightfully intimidating at the same time.
Along those lines, if it’s a choice between Jack and Sawyer (the original question), I’d probably go with Sawyer. Again, just a more complex character.

Actually, Bill, I wasn’t trying to hold you to a Jack vs. Sawyer choice. All the action figures are up for grabs in that question, so if you need Shannon (I’m telling Pam), then so be it.
I forgot about Sayid. I’d want one of him for sure. And yes, I love Mr. Eko, too. What a great character!

OMGOSH! Sawyer even has the dimple! XD That’s sooo awesome! You can’t get much hotter then that…
I’m so excited! It is a long wait but it’ll be worth it! lol

I have to come down on the side of Team Sawyer, myself.
The new season is something to look forward to during holiday stress…
