Oh, thank goodness
Nikki and Paolo are dead.
Phew.
Unfortunately, we had to sit through that whole show and learn even more about characters we didn’t give even a small you-know-what about.
A wasted hour.
But at least they won’t bother us again.
Wasn’t it weird to see Boone and Shannon again? And wasn’t Shannon just as annoying as ever? Which brings us to the real mystery of the show:
WHAT DID SAYID EVER SEE IN HER?
Sigh.
And yet I will continue to watch, because of episodes like last week’s about Locke.
But please, please treat us right, o writers of Lost. Last night you done us wrong.

I loved the creepy ending and I will say that episode was a fine, fine (almost surreal) example of producers/writers paying attention to the audience’s wishes, but, yup, it was a wasted hour in that we have no more answers. I echo your sigh (oh, “echo” sounds like “eko.” Ah, I miss him).
I miss Eko, too! Now there was a meaty story line. Not this fluff like last night.
And don’t you agree, Jules, that I’m not giving anything away to Eisha? She won’t care about these characters any more than the rest of us did.
Hm. I think it was a little better than you give it credit for.
Filler, clearly, but entertaining filler.
I liked last night,too.
There were a lot of interesting things that came out of that….
..that the hatch system was discovered almost from the beginning and they did not share that with every one else!
..that the surgery was planned so long ago, and Paolo did not share that.
..that Sun was grabbed by Sawyer and Charlie.
..that there was a walkie-talkie that could have been used to listen to the others, not shared.
Wasn’t that the plane that Boone fell from? Also, discovered right away but not shared.
Plus, I always like seeing how these people all crossed paths before the crash.
And, the chill factor of the countdown of hours once we know the poison lasts for eight hours. Notice how only Nikki’s eyes had fondly been closed by Sawyer….couldn’t have that final scene unless that had been done!
Sue, don’t try to talk me out of my funk.
But yeah, okay, there were a FEW items of interest.
And you make an excellent point about that nice touch of Sawyer closing her eyes so they could pop open again later, BUT
Still need more. Much, much more.
Like Kate punching out Julia next week. I’ll take that. Julia’s voice is too moderated all the time. We need Kate to go shake things up.
Plus, is Julia trying to take Kate’s man? Can’t have that.
Anyway, let’s just put this week’s aside, treat it like the wasted hour it was, and move on, no hard feelings.
