The brother’s mother

I think I picked up one clue from last night’s Lost.

You know when Desmond is in the head monk’s office, turning in his monkish clothes? There’s a brief flash of a framed photo on the brother’s desk. I think the woman in the picture–the monk’s mother–is that same white-haired woman from the jewelry shop who tells Desmond, “No, you don’t buy the ring,” and then tells him everything else about his future.

Anybody see that?

Yes, I caught that. It’s her. It has to be, what with the show always slippin’ in stuff like that. It was definitely her.

Saw your smiling face in the Publishers Weekly children’s lit email thingie (the name is escaping me now)!

Jules, the children’s lit thing is Publishers Weekly’s Children’s Book Shelf. It’s weird to see my own smiling face there, trust me!

THAT’S it! Of course, I remembered its name after I sent that comment.

And someone else thinks they saw that creepy psychic lady in the picture frame last night on Lost. See here.

Wow, Jules, thanks for that excellent link. A lengthy, detailed recap of last night’s show, along with WAY more theories and literary/comic references than I could ever come up with. That guy is GOOD.

Especially that part about how the parachuter could have another copy of the Desmond/Penelope picture, since there was only one. Hmmmmm. . .
