I can’t actually say I’m out because I was never “in.” I think I’ve seen every Seinfeld episode at least five times.

Anne at Book Buds tagged me with the summer goals meme the other day–so I decided to work on one of my goals this weekend even though it’s not officially summer. I gave myself my own personal challenge of writing and polishing six animal mask poems for a collection I started working on about a month ago. I’m halfway to my goal–sure hope I make it all the way there.

No worries, Robin. It’s all for fun and if it’s not fun, you don’t need to play. (Though to be totally honest, the fun is only in the first fourteen hours. After that it becomes much more like work.)

No point in doing something like this if it’s not worth doing to you, I think. This weekend was all about giving yourself a break and making something you enjoy a priority. If you happen to be giving yourself a break from the challenge, well, I’d say that counts.

I do hope you still intend to read Inkheart in the near future and report on your opinion of it, though. (Don’t worry - New Moon’s next on my own list!)
