Yuck. What a gyp an abridged book is. I'm now listening to Matthew Skelton's <i>Endymion Spring</i>, and reading the ARC of <i>The Puzzling World of Winston Breen</i>, by Eric Berlin. Winston Breen reminds me of <i>The Westing Game</i> a bit. The characters aren't as complex, but it is filled with delightful puzzles. I just checked <i>Among the Free</i> out of the library. It's the last in a series I've been reading my way through recently, and I'm sure to read it soon. I also picked up <i>The Watchman</i> (adult mystery) by Robert Crais and <i>Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life</i>. Don't ask me what I'm doing picking up library books, when I have dozens of review books and purchased books to read. But somehow, I just can't resist. Finished my reread of <i>Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code</i> and mowed through FMA, volume 12 (which contained one of the most excellent internal battles I've ever seen in a manga. When a teenaged girl finds the guy who killed her parents...and there's a gun in easy reach...). Next week's list'll be a lot longer, as I got <i>New Moon, Pretties, Specials, Mister Monday,</i> and <i>The Pilgrims of Rayne</i> this weekend.
