Thanks for the recommendation,Christen and in return,I recommend to you the follow-up to Carpe Demon,California Demon. It’s just as fun and I sincerely hope that Kenner’s working on a third one.

I absolutely devoured an advance proof called Before I Die, which is utterly brilliant. I’ll post about it soon, I hope. The editor, David Fickling (who has quite *the* track record), decided to publish it zippy quick (compared to the timeline most books are published on today), ’cause he was so stirred by it.

And, uh, otherwise reading 2,000 books at once, as usual.

I loved Speak. I saw the movie first (fantastic), then bought the book. Superb.

I read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson (totally made up for the lackluster Twisted, and then some) and I’ll probably finish What Happened to Cass McBride by Gail Giles tonight. Nothing like being around librarians and writers to get you excited about reading.
