As a writer, if you can't carry income and expense into the new year - how much vacation time can you accrue and carry over?

Molly, I loved "The Boyfriend List" also.

I can't remember what I mentioned last week, but I recently read "Someone Named Eva" and "Miss Spitfire", bother powerful MG historical novels that I enjoyed. Yesterday I read "Everlost" by Neal Schusterman, and found it a fast-paced, entertaining read with a unique premise. Now I'm reading an adult mystery, the latest in a series about a librarian who solves mysteries (Miss Zukas).

I started reading a new book to my kids this week, The Nightmare Academy by Dean Lorey. It is so good that after I tucked them into bed, I kept reading it until I was finished. The kids are still enjoying their chapter a night. Tonight's made them laugh. Love that.

I enjoyed "I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You" by Ally Carter, a teen spy romance.

I finished listening to the audio book of The Golden Compass. It's a great recording with a full cast of voices.

Also enjoyed the audio of The Princess Bride. It's short- only 3 hours- but so fun to listen to Rob Reiner reading it.

For the record, I've never said "Uh you know it's Tuesday" on a Monday just to see if I could mess you up, but that seems like a good plan now.

I'm working on the ARC of James Dashner's book that's coming out in the spring of '08: "The 13th Reality." Lots of fun so far.

And if I guess what you're reading, will you let me borrow the ARC next? ;)

Well,I finished reading a book that'll be out just after New Year's,The Pulpwood Queens' Tiara Wearing,Book Sharing Guide to Life by Kathy L. Patrick(the founder of the Pulpwood Queens and owner of Beauty and the Book, the only beauty parlor/bookstore in the world that I know of). It's a mix of memoir, recommended reading lists and tips on how to maintain a book club. It's a definate must-read for book lovers.

Beyond that,I'm just trying to finish up some of my current reading pile so that I can move on to some of the goodies that are awaiting me for next year.
