Robin, The Book Thief is great, but I have noticed that people who listened to it liked it much better than people who read it on paper.

And now I have to go get Twilight, because I am a love-to-swoon girl too.

Jen, I just bought New Moon today, and I’m fully prepared to love it and the next one and the next one.

That’s so cool about Elizabeth/Darcy. Love details like that.

I adored Twilight, Robin. I listened to it on MP3, and was utterly and totally compelled. I’m a sucker for the star-crossed lover story, if it’s well done. I felt when I read it that the dialog between Bella and Edward had echoes of Elizabeth and Darcy, and Stephenie Meyer later told me that this was intentional. So cool!

I must warn you that I didn’t like New Moon as much as Twilight, largely because Edward is absent for a big piece of the book. But I’m still eagerly awaiting the next book.

Thanks, Vivian. I’ll definitely do that. Been meaning to, but sometimes it takes that extra, direct statement: “Read this!” to get through to my brain.

I was finally able to get a copy from the library. Thanks for the enthusiastic recommendation. And if you haven’t read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, you absolutely must. Incredible. Beautiful. Haunting.
