My only ick feeling about Gore being associated with the film is that it gives the impression that this is a political issue instead of an educational/humanity one. I’d feel the same way if it were any politician. I don’t want my kids’ school endorsing political parties anymore than I would want them to endorse a religion.

School Board members adopted a three-point policy that says teachers who want to show the movie must ensure that a “credible, legitimate opposing view will be presented.”

Also, you can’t tell students that unicorns don’t exist unless you present a credible, legitimate opposing view.
