Quick! Hide the evolution!
Another school district trying to ensure children won’t accidentally hear about evolution.
My favorite line:
“It had been the school’s policy since 1995 to tear out chapters on evolution from science textbooks out of ‘respect for the family teachings of a significant number of Cobb County citizens’ . . .”
Wow, what a service. You think we can get them to rip out some pages from geometry books? Speaking from experience, it would save a lot of kids some trauma.

robin,
where do you find this stuff? truth is indeed, stranger than fiction and it would be funnier too, if it weren’t so darn scary.

When I was in public school I remember the girls from Immaculata High School, the local Catholic HS, had a rep as the “fast” girls– every BBHS guy wanted to date a girl from Immaculata. Why? In typical teenage fashion, anything that parents/teachers/priests said was bad and that kids shouldn’t do was immediately embraced as the “in” thing.
Do you think these fundamentalist bozos have any clue what they’re unleashing on the world??? I’m sure the result will not be what they intend.
