It's the key over there to the left of the 'z' key. It's hard to find it when it's only three times the size of all the other keys.

Those that are different bring change. Change is bad. Change is EVIL. Change takes what you have now and then you will have nothing, for no Change is good. Evolution is Change. Fear Evolution. Fear what the Beagle tells you. Resist change. Resist differences. Resistence is feudal.

herb, you're a breath of fresh air. i for one am trying to redirect the blog's emphasis away from kate winslet's breats to david bowie's "area".
(i can't believe i just typed that when i was annoyed with patrick's flippant conclusion to his otherwise excellent comment, i'm so ashamed).

anyhow the fear/hate connection so sad, so true. when in high school my two older children participated in a summer "camp" experience called "anytown" in which socially, ethnically, racially, religiously (you get it) diverse teenagers are brought together for a few days to enhance understanding and promote tolerence. anytown's premise is that hatred is born of fear, fear is born of lack of knowledge and lack of knowlege is the product of lack of personal interaction and resultant stereotyping. the anytown experience has proven over many, many years that once these stereotypes are dispelled by personal experience and the fear factor removed these teenagers are incapable of maintaining hatred.

it is remarkable to hear these kids recount to their surprise that so many things they had been told throughout their lives were true--were in fact lies.
the sad reality is we now find ourselves is a political environment in which fear of "the other" has been legitimized and hate-mongering an acceptable stable of national policy.

i know i waved this banner is the past-but we should all be scared s---less, fearing for our country's democratic future.

Kate Winslet’s breasts seem to becoming a common theme through out this blog. Are we just trying to draw those who are searching Kate Winslet’s breasts. Ah searching Kate Winslet’s breasts, why did my mind just spasm. Fear is the foundation of hate. I fear. I feel weak. I blame what I fear. I hate what I fear for making me feel weak.

No, not hate. Fear. Fear is used to control the masses. All you not fearing those who are different are out of control. It must stop. Fear change. Fear those who are different. Get back in line. Do not pass go and collect 200. Stay in fear, where it is safe and controlled. Fear Kate Winslet's breasts and the lesbianism it represents.

Why what a novel idea. Loving people who are not hetero. Why we could take even further. Loving everyone regardless of what they are. Nah, what would happen to the evening news. Besides the righteous would not have anything to do. No no too much change, can't take it. Hate is safe.
