BBYA 2008!

I found out today that Evolution, Me and Other Freaks of Nature was chosen by the ALA and YALSA as one of the Best Books for Young Adults for 2008! Hurray! And the audio version is one of the 2008 Selected Audiobooks for Young Adults! Double hurray!

Thank you, American Library Association and Young Adult Library Services Association! I am honored!

    That’s wonderful news! I’m personally a bigger fan of the lists put out by ALA because they can cover so much more territory. As much as I like the official awards for the fun of it, I don’t believe that you can really pick one “best” book. “Best” for who? That’s what I’d ask.
