I didn’t see it until this afternoon, but I got a huge kick out of it. I agree – very smart script, and I loved the Secret line, too! I can’t believe you churned it out in 3 hours. You are superhuman!

Bill and Mother Reader, thanks for the screening report. I’m happy to hear it!

Heather, I, too, hesitate before loading programs, so I ‘m with you. But if and when you do load it, just choose the Quicktime only program, without the extra iPod feature, just to keep the intrusion to a minimum.

Little Willow, thank you, and I totally agree about Mother Reader and Bill and everyone else connected with the project. They turned out such a stylish film.

We just had the big screening last night, and the audience LOVED it. We got laughs in all the right places (and a few bonus ones I hadn't anticipated). A lot of people (influential people at that) felt that this was our best work yet. But one thing everyone felt compelled to mention was how great — how smart — a script we had. Having such a phenomenal piece as a basis just made the whole process so much easier. Thanks, Robin! We really couldn't have done it without you.

Robin, you can’t knock yourself on the script even a little bit. Ladies and gentlemen, note that not only did Robin write the script in about three hours – successfully incorporating our film noir concept, a bracelet, a president, and the line – she also wrote it based on the locations we could secure and for roles we needed for the actors based on availability (2 big parts, 4 smaller parts, 1 walk-on and 1 voice over). Now that’s what I’m talking about.

Oh, and Robin, the film was very well received last night. the audience laughed in the right places, totally got all the jokes, really seemed to love it. Very good showing.

Thanks, Emma and Sara! I’m glad you liked it. Sara, that line about The Secret happens to be my favorite. Thanks for catching it (and the one about speaking Spanish to the gardeners). While I enjoy all the performances in the film–so many funny moments–I think my favorite is Monica saying, “Hello, Mutt” so perfectly and properly.

Oh yeah, I loved the diaphragm bit, too…but my favorite was: …”I learned from The Secret that what you focus on expands. I hoped that wasn’t going to be true of her ass.” Woo, hoo, hoo. And I totally loved: “He even spoke to the gardeners in Spanish.”
