Question about ergonomic keyboards
This weekend I was tempted to buy an ergonomic keyboard, under the theory that my wrists are part of my machine, and it’s up to me to keep the machine humming.
I’m still undecided. Are any of you out there using an ergonomic keyboard? Do you absolutely love it or only sort of like it? Was it hard to get used to?
Please advise me.

I love my Microsoft (ergonomic) natural keyboard. It was an adjustment at first, but I got used to it. And it does relieve wrist pain.

i never knew how liberating it obviously is to type with only two fingers (horrible lawn mower accident)–ergonomics just don’t figure in–(nor does the “shift” key!)

Have one at home and LOVE it. I was having wrist pains, bought this a few years back, now the only time I have problems is when I’m on the keyboard at work for a long time — the work keyboard is the traditional set up.
Yes, it took a bit to get used to, but the positives (no pain!) outweigh that.

Thanks, Liz and Heather. That’s just what I needed to know.
And Annette, sorry to hear about your accident. Chin up.

I was considering getting a DVORAK keyboard at one point, because you can type faster on those things once you get used to them. And they also are supposed to reduce stress because they make better use of the hand’s natural reach.
Then I realized that I really don’t type so fast that I can’t handle a normal keyboard. And learning something new???? Uhh. Hmm.
