I’m going to let Barry do my work for me today. He wrote this post yesterday while he sat in the Atlanta airport, having just missed his connection home from my book launch in Phoenix by FIVE MINUTES. Seriously, five minutes. And that was after running full speed through the airport. He finally got home at 2:30 this morning, having left Phoenix around noon yesterday.

SORRY, BARRY.

Despite that, he claims he had a great time in Phoenix, where it was over 115 degrees even at night.

SORRY, BARRY.

Sorry to you, too, Patrick, since I know you were operating on about four hours sleep, and I kept making you stay up and entertain us. Then you had that early flight out, and anyway . . .

SORRY, PATRICK.

Anybody else? I love you all, I’m thankful for you all, I apologize to you all, and I hope for all our sakes that fall will come soon and bring some cooler temperatures. August is rough. Hail to September, and even hailer (yes, that’s a phrase. I say) to October.

So anyway, you can check out Barry’s report and see pix of the event at that link above, and also some more from the day before here.

  1. Patrick Says:

No need to apologize to me, I had a great time. So very glad I came and picked up signed copies of two great books.

And I had a direct flight so no Atlanta dash for me. I made it home in time for dinner.

And if you had stayed with me a little longer you would have seen me vanish and return to my own timeline 10,000 years in the future.

  2. Barry Says:

No worries! It was worth it.

  3. Deborah Says:

It was a superb evening! I can’t write more now because I am reading a book….
