I love the book even more! It took me a while to read it, too, but that thing is hilarious--in ways familiar to us from the movie, and unfamiliar as well. William Goldman is a genius, and I don't mind saying it early and often.

Odd. I'm reading The Princess Bride for the first time. I've only been a fan of the movie until now.

Patrick, that's just spooky. How could you possibly know my new novel is entirely an homage to The Princess Bride? I think you're going to win any battle of wits, dude (and I mean that in the appropriate "dude" way, as shown above).

Patrick, thanks for always being ON IT.

Adrienne, if people don't send me stuff, I have no idea it's out there. So looks like we're both cave people.

Katie, of course you, the dog expert, would have that piece of information. I had no idea! And as for your revisions and mine and Laini's and anyone else out there slapping our books around, let's just make it clear that:

1. We LOVE our jobs;
2. We LOVE our books;
3. The revision stage sucks mice;
4. When we finally finish revising these things, they will look like they were always supposed to look, only we didn't know that until we got them right. Right?

Well, the dog nerd in me insists on pointing out the irony that Fergus is also a purebred dog--just a scruffier breed (a Border Terrier). So Mr. Everyman in that commercial isn't quite as Everyman as he wants to come across.

Ahh, revisions! Don't ask me about mine, either.
