Writers and role models

Another great post from Kristine Kathryn Rusch as part of her ongoing Freelancer’s Survival Guide. This one on the value and pitfalls of having other writers as role models.

There are two authors out there whose careers and productivity I aspire to and admire. Not telling who they are, but I think it’s valuable for me to see what they’re able to do and know in my heart I can do that, too. I just have to, you know, work. Crazy, huh?

Read the post and the comments and see how they apply to your own Fantasy Writers’ League–and how best to use other writers’ careers to inspire you with your own.

Enjoy!

My writing role models are Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker.

By the way, what’s this wole ‘work’ thing everyone keeps talking about?
