Writers: Time to expose the myths of rejection
Love this recent post by Dean Wesley Smith, part of his Killing the Sacred Cows of Publishing series. If you’re interested in the business side of your writing career (which I hope each and every one of us IS interested in), it’s worth your time to read through all of the posts in this series. But I thought this current one was especially comforting for those of us who have had our share of rejection and know that there will be rejections in the future. That’s just how it works. Not everything you write is gold, no matter what your mother says.
Read, learn, and enjoy!
P.S. There’s also much education to be found in the discussions carried on in the comments to each post, so take time to read those, too. Knowledge is power!
Thanks, Robin, I needed to read that today! Time to get back to work on queries.
Yay, Kate! Go get ‘em!
